- Trouble Shots and Their Value
- Review the value of trouble shots and GIR/nGIR reminder.
- Practice the easiest curve for each individual.
- Alternate practice between the curve of choice and straight shots. Understanding of ball flight laws and how to aim face and body.
0:35 - 1:00
- 20 Point Game
- With a partner, play 20 point trajectory based trouble shot game described in video.
1:00 - 1:20
- Discussion: Tournament or Tryout Prep
- One week prior: camera and swing thoughts OFF. Find simple focus and/or swing thought - play 30 point game to own a pattern - spend a bit more time on short game.
- Three days prior: Practice the highest SV shots pertinent to course they will be playing - adjust to green speeds - create simple yardage book using Google Earth or similar and make dark and medium shades where possible - find "safe" spots.
- Practice Round(s): practice from the rough as many shots will be from rough no matter how well player is playing - locate best lines off the tee - consider different wind conditions - get yardages from possible layups and consider that shots may be mishit off the tee.
- Morning Of: Arrive early and warm up (this is not practice time) - confirm green speed and firmness for chipping and approach shots - relax and have fun.
